I am a loyal customer of Calphalon--both for the products' good looks as well as for their durability. This salt and pepper shaker set is just one more example of the high standards Calphalon sets for its products. Perhaps what makes this shaker set the most appealing is its versatility--the anodized finish stands up to rigorous use in the kitchen while providing an attractive salt and pepper set for the dining room table. And let's not forget, the shakers have a large holding capacity, eliminating the need for constant refilling. The only feature missing from this shaker set is a warning label. The large holes in the top of each shaker allow very generous amounts of salt and pepper to come out at one time. But all in all, it's still a winner.

With many holes and holding 1-1/2 cups each, these big shakers (2-3/4 inches in diameter and 3-3/4 inches deep) are designed to sit next to the stove and season foods quickly without needing frequent refilling. Fine threading ensures lids twist on tightly and don't work loose during repeated use. For that no-nonsense, professional-kitchen look, they have a matte finish, which looks serious next to the outdoor grill, also.
