I have a rack and cabinet full of Calphalon and have loved using it for years and years. This is my first nonstick pan and only by the first use, it's awesome. Although it's disappointing to see "Made in China" on it, it's the same great construction and quality. The handle seems to stay even cooler that some of the first cool touch handle pieces I've got.
My fingers are crossed that with proper care for nonstick, the surface remains as it is now but only time will tell. With any kind of coating on anything, there can be good and bad runs and I'm hoping mine's a good one. Crepe's were easy to flip without any utensil, or after a slight nudge to break loose. It's the best nonstick surface I've ever used.

Grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes, and a host of other appetizing foods can be cooked on a griddle. Anodized aluminum is fabulous for conducting heat quickly and evenly, while the non-stick surface of this piece cleans like a dream.The sides of this 10-inch nonstick griddle are low and slope gently, so your cr?pes slide out without falling apart and your pancakes flip easily. No matter what you're cooking, you're guaranteed quick and even heat distribution, easy food release, and simple cleaning, thanks to the pan's three layers: an aluminum core, a hard-anodized exterior, and a reinforced nonstick surface. The aluminum core provides rapid heat conduction, while the hard-anodized exterior increases the griddle's durability. The nonstick surface allows you to cook low-fat meals without using any oil or butter. The griddle includes a collector's edition recipe card.
