Customer Review: The Best Non-Stick Pans Available

I was first turned on to Calphalon Commercial Non-stick pans by Cook's Illustrated, who, after extensive testing, said this is the best non-stick coating available. A few years and a multitude of pans later, I couldn't agree more.This pan has a comfortable heft and feels good in your hand. It distributes heat evenly and also retains heat very well. It is also extremely easy to clean.
You can't go wrong with this pan.
Description of Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 3-Quart Chef's Skillet with Lid
Something like a deep skillet with the sloping contours of a chef's pan, this piece allows you to sautE, simmer, fry, and stir fry. And after cooking that Spicy Shredded Beef, your clean up couldn't be easier.Calphalon nonstick pans are kitchenware built to last a lifetime. This 11-1/4-inch-diameter wok-shaped, 3-quart chef's skillet, for example, is excellent for hand-tossing stir-fried food, with a heavy-gauge aluminum exterior that assures even heating and a nonstick interior that makes low-, or no-fat cooking possible. Use a light hand on the heat dial though, to protect the nonstick surface from overheating, and use plastic, coated, or wood utensils to protect the finish. The curved handle is easy to grip and stays cool, thanks to a V-shaped split where it meets the pan. There's also a short looped utility handle on the opposite side of the pan for heavy lifting. Unlike pans with plastic or wood handles, the extremely sturdy all-metal construction provides the flexibility to put the pan in the oven--up to 450 degrees. Remember to hand wash all Calphalon pans--dishwasher detergents are bad for the finish, and their use voids the lifetime warranty. --Dale Steinke
