Description of Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 3-Quart Chef's with Lid
Excellent for making sauces for pasta or sautéing vegetables, this 3-quart chef's pan is a must for gourmet home chefs. Part of Calphalon's Commercial Nonstick line, this pan is made of heavy-gauge hard-anodized aluminum cast in uniform thickness across the bottom and sides so that food heats evenly and quickly. Additionally, the durable hard-anodized exterior is nonporous and 30 percent harder than stainless steel, and it won't chip, crack, or peel. A nonstick coating on the pan's interior allows foods to quickly release, making cleanup easy. The nonstick coating is guaranteed to be scratch- and peel-resistant as long as metal utensils are never used. The lid is stainless steel and, sporting a comfortable contoured grip, the patented Cool-V cast-stainless-steel handle minimizes heat transfer, keeping it cool on the stovetop; three sturdy stainless-steel rivets hold the handle in place.
