I was actually looking for something else when I bought this casserole and feel very fortunate that I didn't find what I wanted and bought this pan instead. The size is perfect, neither too big nor too small for most uses and highly versatile. I can't say enough good things about the Commercial Non-Stick finish; it's perfect for cooking things on top of the stove, and it truly is non-stick, which means that little or no oil is needed for cooking.I have other pans in this line and have found them all to be without flaw.

Also known as a Dutch oven, this pan goes on stovetop or in the oven (to 450 degrees) to braise meats, poultry, fish, or vegetables or to cook any casserole dish like macaroni and cheese. Use it for soups and sauces, also. Its domed, stainless-steel lid collects moisture and returns it to foods during cooking. Calphalon's Commercial Nonstick cookware is coated with an especially durable, multilayered nonstick material. Use only plastic, nylon, and wood utensils. The pan is anodized for hardness. For that no-nonsense, professional-kitchen look, this cookware wears a matte finish. Polished, cast-stainless-steel handles are multiriveted for durability.
