This set is phenomenal if it's properly taken care of.
As long as you read the care and use instructions, there shouldn't be any problems with any pieces. If there is a problem with normal use, you can always have Calphalon send you a replacement.
Just make sure you ABSOLUTELY do NOT place these in the dishwasher! The hard-anodized exterior will get ruined because of the abrasive soap used.
The double-boiler and the pasta drainer in this set are stainless steel, so those can be placed in a dishwasher if you want (I just hand-wash everything).
With the cost of these compared to what you get, I would definitely suggest purchasing these.
