Heating in this 8-quart pot is sure to satisfy the performance requirements of discerning cooks. The pot boasts triple-layer construction with stainless-steel exteriors bonded over a full aluminum core that extends up the sides as well as through the bottom. Aluminum is an excellent heat conductor, providing consistent heat for simmering soup, chili, or pasta. A steamer insert and pasta insert are included, making this a truly multifunctional piece. The stainless-steel pot is safe in the oven and can withstand broiler temperatures as well as the use of metal utensils. However, the tempered-glass lid is oven-safe only to 450 degrees F.
