First, to the one reviewer who made the "truth in advertising" comment, Amazon cannot prevent people from NOT READING THE DESCRIPTIONS. Buyer, please do take note of what is included. In any event, I have preferred Calphalon's pans for years over the competition. I have used both the nonstick pans and the hard-anodized for the last 5-6 years. The nonstick pans are great! As long as you use the simple thought that you should not use anything sharp-tipped or metal, you will be using these pans for MANY years to come, no matter how much you cook.Second, in regards to the hard-anodized finish wearing off... I second the opinion of the chef - "treat your pans as you wish to be treated". This is so often overlooked by "amateur" (as I am myself) chefs. You go to the store, want to buy quality cookware, and expect it to perform without doing anything to it over its life simply because it was expensive. If you think this way, this is not the set for you. However, if you are willing to give them a little love and care, you will not be disappointed!

Calphalon Professional Hard-Anodized 10pc Cookware Set includes 8",10" and 12" NONSTICK omelettes, 1.5qt and 2.5qt saucepans with lids, 4qt chefs pan w/lid and Cool Grip Handle. Amazon.com exclusive.Any cook would happily welcome this ten-piece set of cookware. Every pan goes into the oven, adding versatility to the set. The 1-1/2-quart and 2-1/2-quart saucepans and 4-quart chef's pan with rounded sides all have lids and are perfect for making sauces and a myriad of other tasks, and the chef's pan is useful for braising. The nonstick 8-, 10-, and 12-inch omelet pans sear and sauté foods and cook omelets. Though only the three omelet pans in this set are nonstick, all of the pans are anodized for stick-resistance as well as hardness, and metal utensils won't harm the surface. A Cool Grip cover fits over the 12-inch omelet pan's handle so you can safely remove the pan from the oven. Chrome-plated, cast-iron handles are multiriveted for durability and balance. Made of heavy-gauge aluminum, the pans cook without hot spots or warping and should be hand washed with mild detergent. This cookware carries a lifetime warranty against defects.
