Customer Review: Just what the Dr. ordered. Ahhhh

This pot was just a quick buy, but turned out to be just what the doctor, of veterinary science, ordered. I was out last minute shopping for those little thingies that go on the end of an ear of corn so you don't get "butter fingers". That was when I spotted this pot. I was having a Barbeque and my Britishfriends, Saraham, Davidshire, Billington, Janesworth, and Thomasbury were scheduled to arrived any moment. Whoops, I hadn't yet purchased a tea pot for my Santa Barbara (first three weeks of)Summer home! I immediately noticed the Calphalon pot a purchased it, along with my corn thingies. About an hour into my
perfect barbeque my neighbor's Pedigree O'donnell Bull Hound began barking. Apparently the dog was in heat and began whineing and barking like a talk show
host. Meanwhile, I was brewing the second pot of tea for my guests. Though I received many compliments on the tea pot, I was still a bit concerned, considering the pot didn't whistle the first time. Screams came from the next door lawn as the neighbor was attacked by her dog. Then, in mid-maul the dog
suddenly stopped and was completely silent for the next 4 hours straight. As it turns out the whistle worked fine, if it had been designed to for dogs to hear and drive them to attack. Since that time, I've found that tea time has been so peaceful
and serene, than it would make Celestial Seasonings envious.
Description of Calphalon Professional Hard-Anodized 2-Quart Whistle Kettle
Calphalon's whistle kettle combines style with quality construction and functionality. Like Calphalon's gourmet cookware, the kettle is made of heavy-gauge, hard anodized-aluminum that conducts heat very efficiently, which means water boils rapidly. The shape is a simple sphere with an elegantly arched handle, and both the handle and the knobs on the lid and the whistle are covered with heat-resistant plastic so that the kettle can be handled safely when hot. A clearly audible whistle that is pleasant, not shrill, sounds when the water has reached the boiling point.
