WE HAVE OWNED THE 7-QUART SAUTE PAN FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS. IT HOLDS THE HEAT AND COOKS EVENLY. IT IS EXCELLENT WHEN COOKING FOR LARGE CROWDS(MORE THAN 20 PEOPLE).
Description of Calphalon Professional Hard Anodized 7-Quart Sauté Pan with Lid
With a diameter of 14-1/2 inches, a depth of 2-3/4 inches, and a flat lid, this 7-quart sauté pan is sized for big sautéing, frying, braising, and stewing tasks. Chicken for a family reunion, vegetable curry for a block party, sauerkraut and sausages for a school potluck--all these are well within the pan's capacity. Though it's not nonstick, like some Calphalon cookware, the matte-finish pan is anodized for stick-resistance as well as hardness. Metal utensils won't harm the surface. Chrome-plated, cast-iron, oven-safe handles are multiriveted for durability and balance but can require potholders. Made of heavy-gauge aluminum, the pan heats evenly and quickly with no hot spots or warping and carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred BrackAll Pans
