My favorite pan. Rounded bottom design makes it easy to use with wire whisk. Great for sauces. Good quality stainless with glass lid and heavy aluminum bottom. Heats quickly and holds constant heat much better than lighter weight pans. Comfortable heavy SS handle stays cool. Dishwasher safe-stands up to anything.

To complete the package, they cook with the same versatility in mind, with the ability to create sauces and stir-frys with equal aplomb. The curved bottom of his 2-quart chef's pan makes it a natural for recipes that require whisking, and its wide top allows sauces to evaporate more efficiently during reduction.Simply Calphalon Stainless cookware takes many of the best attributes of Calphalon's renowned professional cookware and puts it into an affordable package. This chef's pan is designed with an eye toward simple elegance, with an 18/10 stainless-steel interior and exterior and a bottom core crafted from heavy-gauge aluminum. The three-ply construction ensures efficient heat conduction and quick cleanup, and is durable enough to withstand metal utensils. The wire loop handle stays relatively cool on the stovetop while also allowing you to hang the pot easily on a hook or peg.
